Induce Date Woes

Hey all, 34 weeks with twins and my OB finally got back to me about a date for babies to be induced. May 8th... The same day I defend my dissertation. Induce time is 7:30 and defense time is 9:30.

I feel like an ass because I just laughed on the phone and told her. She just kind of chuckled too and said she'd look at the calendar again.

This is how my life kind of works. I can't reschedule the defense because getting 5 professors virtually together during a pandemic has been tough... It's also weird to think of rescheduling the birth of my only kids...

We aren't due til May 22nd so we have wiggle room and they could decide to come wayyyy early, like tomorrow early... So plans need to be flexible. But dang... What are the odds!
