Buy a house during the pandemic?

My husband and I are considering buying a house but this whole pandemic makes me nervous. My husband works in the pest control area and is considered essential. His job is secured. Would you buy a home or wait till the pandemic is over? Thank you all.

I would if I could physically be in the place I want to buy a house 😩 I live in Maryland and I’m changing duty stations in August to live in California and we want to buy a house 😕

My husband and I are debating the same thing but we will probably wait. Just because we don't know if things can change financially. It's a difficult choice because we are tired of renting and it's getting more expensive to rent when you can get a mortgage a little cheaper and it's an investment.

I am a loan officer, I can still do loans down to a 620 credit score. Honestly, I’ve never been busier, the market is strong and if you still have your income coming in, there’s no reason to wait!

I was told by a realtor the expectations far is credit score is higher before covid19 the recommendation was 580 but now they want you have at least a 660 with a secure amount of income. I have the score but the secure career is what I’m worried about l. If you go through with it please message me and keep me updated!
