Feeling a little out of control

Julia

I’ve been trying to be positive about the coronavirus situation because I know I’m so incredibly blessed with my situation but I’m down today. Is there anything y’all are doing to prepare for baby that has made you feel better or are y’all holding out until we can be out and about to prepare? Thanks! 💙💕

Honestly, I packed my hospital bag and bought everything off my registry.

Oh, yeah, I went for it. No regrets, either.

Thank you for the inspiration! I have been trying to “take it slow” but now I’ll order a baby bag tomorrow!🤗

Online yoga and Pilates. It helps. And online therapy as well. :) Also, coming here and seeing other people are nervous and in the same situation. Makes me feel like I’m not crazy when I lose my mind.

It's hard! Trying to stay positive, but this week is our 20 wk ultasound and the first appointment my partner can't come too😥. Also, this week I really started to miss my Mom...she ussually comes to the city once a month or so and it's been three months and I'm realizing how my family may not get to be around for who knows how long.Next month we are going to start buying baby stuff and setting up.

You're not alone. Had my 20 week scan a couple.of weeks ago and hated not having my husband there to share the experience. All the staff wearing face masks makes it so clinical. Our hospital has also said that your partner can only be there for active labour. So if I have to stay in then my husband can't be there to support me and the baby. Really struggled to come to terms with this last week. I'm hoping in 17 weeks the restrictions will slacken off a bit.So, we bought the bits we needed to buy this week and some of it arrived today! Think it gave me a bit more control back which I really needed. Stay strong, we'll all get through this!

Online prenatal yoga! And we're talking to doulas. We decided we still want to work with a doula in some way even if they can't be at the actual birth (depending on what precautions are in place in August with coronavirus), but it feels good to prepare with someone who is knowledgeable and more available than the obgyn/midwife is right now, especially with the pandemic. Reading pregnancy and birth books! And just trying to enjoy the pregnancy itself as much as possible. 🥰
