during this epidemic my mother was laid off like many people right now. She has to take care of me and my grandfather whose only income pays enough for the house note but my mom has to take care of every other bill that has been pushed upon her ever since my uncle moved out and refused to pay his portion. my grandpa spends all day smoking and wasting his money on beer and other non-necessities rather than spending them on groceries. my mom is a warrior and stronger than she thinks. she has begun breaking down in front of me and telling me how hard it is for her and how unappreciated she feels. and then she feels guilty after because she believes it shouldn’t be a burden on me. if you are still reading, fellow mothers going through a similar situation, just reach out and giver her some notes of hope or appreciation that will go along with mine to surprise her.
