Terrible at tummy time

My son is great at tummy time on my chest but not so much on his own. He cries and gives up almost right away and just face plants

Mama, he just doesn’t like it. Don’t force it. My 12 week old grunts and makes funny sounds and then goes crazy... she hates it. But she naps on her tummy everyday. So don’t force mama. You’re doing a good job 😘😘

Mine always spits up and I think it hurts her tummy. I always wait an hour after she eats but she still spits up. I can get her to do about 5 min max if I use a prop under her chest but there’s no way she will do it without a prop. I worry she won’t have enough strength in her arms but I’m just giving it time. I think they will all get it eventually. She can hold her head up really well so I’m not too concerned.

My son does great on my chest. Holds his head up really good. On his mat not so much. I tried today with the boppy on the couch and he did really well for about 2 minutes before he started freaking out.

I recommend following milestones.and.motherhood on IG. She has a whole highlight reel of tummy time tips. I found many of them to be helpful. That being said, my LO still hates tummy time 🤣

They have tummy time llama. Also you can do tummy time on your chest. My son is behind but it’s expected since he was born 7 weeks early.
