UTI w/o symptoms

My Dr just called to let me know that my blood work shows I have a UTI. I have NO symptoms but she said it needs to be treated or it could turn into a kidney infection. I am 7w 3d and this is my 1st pregnancy. I was curious to see if anyone else had experience with this?
