Colposcopy?

Anyone have one done? My Pap smear showed low grade abnormalities. I’ll be almost 13 weeks when i have it and I’m so scared.

Yes. I was pregnant with our 1st son when I had mine done. I showed CIN 1 cells and they decided just to monitor. When you give birth you will shed your cervical cells and that is why my doctor was comfortable waiting until after birth to do anything if it would even be necessary. My 6 week postpartum check was moved out to 10 weeks (my drs father passed away) and when they did the test we found out I had to do another colposcopy. This time it was super aggressive and at 10 weeks postpartum I had CIN 3 cells. 1 stage below cervical cancer. She scheduled me for a leep and cone procedure and removed 25% of my cervix. All my tests have been clear since August 2015. We've had 2 full term pregnancies and currently pregnant again after. I have issues with bleeding in pregnancy now but I don't know if it's associated or not.

I had one a few years ago! It’s mostly uncomfortable but it really isn’t bad. It’s quick!

I had one last fall. I can be uncomfortable but it doesn’t take very long. It causes some cramping and pinching if they do a biopsy. If you can take Tylenol beforehand I would suggest it. You might bleed for a little bit afterwards too.
