Does it hurt to breast feed the second baby?

I mean the first weeks. Or is the pain only on first born?

It hurt but I feel like maybe not as bad. I had been pumping 8 months prior to giving birth so there wasnt much down time for the nips. Babys mouth is so small and learning to latch and eat so its bound to hurt. I was able to get my 2nd son to latch better because of having past experience but it took a few weeks for it all to feel better.

I had pain again but it was more brief and I was more on top of it. Also my son didn’t have a tongue tie so that helped a lot.

I’ve never really had pain while breastfeeding because I made sure their latch was good, but if it really hurts you I suggest nipple shields

It hurt for me as my 2nd  baby was latching weirdly so ended up slicing into the base of my nipples for about 2 mins. I had to really focus on adjusting his latch amd after a couple of weeks, I had healed and breastfeeding was a breeze again.
The pain was totally unexpected as I had been continuously breastfeeding my daughter until the new baby was born. My son just didnt latch right 🤷‍♀️
Im pregnant again and my son will be 13 months old once the new baby arrives. Im hoping this time it wont hurt but i wont be surprised if I have some sort of pain again

My first two were 18 months apart and my first had only been weaned about 6 months when the second was born.  I still had pain.  No initial nipple pain (some as he got under and has a terrible latch due to a lip tie) with my third though and he’s 14 years younger than my second.
