Im 18yrs old , i currently live with my mom but I pay for all of my stuff ( rent , food , car insurance ect) I tried doing my 2019 taxes but I just recently found out she claimed me as a dependent even tho I pay for all of my expenses the only reason she did that was so she can claim as head of household (which will obviously allow her to get the most money back ) but that messed up everything for me I won’t be able to get the stimulus check ( and im in need of it , I haven’t been working ) and also it doesn’t even let me do my own taxes because of that. Is there any way I can dispute what she did ? So I can do my own taxes and get the stimulus check ? Also I wanted to clarify I never agreed with her to claim me as a dependent she never asked me or anything.

UPDATE : I have tried calling the irs but they never answer. She has also been rubbing it in my face how she received her money already and that there’s nothing I can do.

She also claims she had the right to claim me as a dependent because I was 17 in 2019. I turned 18 on Oct 2019 but I was never going to school I was always working the whole year of 2019. She never “took care of me “ that year .
