At 12 weeks postpartum I had a colposcopy done and had experienced bleeding in the days following. I went back to my OB to get it checked out and was told the bleeding was just my period coming back and not from the procedure. I got a period exactly one month later in February and then again March. Before being pregnant my periods came like clockwork and seemed to do so for the past 3 months. Now I'm 11 days late and I've taken two pregnancy tests (4/9 and 4/12) and both were negative.

I've read that it can take up to a year after pregnancy for your period to get back on track. I didn't experience this after my first daughter though and I've literally have always had my period come like clockwork.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for your period to regulate?

*I'm not on birth control, so it's not my body adjusting to that.
