Hi! So I am moving to a new city for my husband’s job and I’m trying to get my first job as well, and I really want to make some friends when we move. I’ve become such a homebody these past few years since I stay home with a toddler (I never worked after getting my masters since my husband does and I chose to stay home with our daughter before going back to work) and I have only 1 friend from college who I talk to daily on the phone since she’s in another state.

My problem is I don’t know how to have confidence for interviews, for making friends or when meeting people, or just having a general conversation with people. I don’t know how people do it and what to talk about! Like it amazes me when people say they make friends with other parents at the park or their children’s school. I get very flustered and don’t know what to say or how to keep a conversation going.

Any advice or tips or classes u know of would be appreciated. Xo.
