So we had some excitement today....

Everything was going perfect. I was up to 7 cm with no pain meds. I had just asked to get the epidural to be prepared for the last part.

Got to 9 cm around 12:00 PM. The cord tried to come out ahead of him. It was 3 feet long!!! Had to do an emergency c-section. Also, the cord was wrapped around his neck! They had to knock me out quick and snatched him out all in under 2 minutes. He was in danger of suffocating so we had to move quickly. He came out screaming at 12:16 PM. 8 lbs 0 oz. We're both doing good. I'm just really sore at the moment.

All is good now. He nursed for about 45 minutes and went to sleep. Guess he thought he was going to miss lunch. 😅

The only part I'm honestly upset about is that when they realized I needed a c-section rather quickly and started wheeling me out, NOT ONE PERSON took 30 seconds to let my husband know what was going on and why. It just needed to be done quickly for the safety of the baby. My husband freaked out and thought he was about to lose me and the baby! If someone had took a few seconds to tell him what was going on, he would have been much more at ease. They had him terrified for no reason!
