From what i read yes, this is an exception where collection cant touch it

My husband was filing for this year... he sent info to an accountant. I don’t think it was done. He didn’t get his back. We weren’t married in 2018 and I think they used my taxes from then

Debatable, depending on where you live the cost of living is more so pay can be more. Also when you make more you lose out on tax incentives like student loan write off (even though i pay close to 1500 a month). So its all relative
