Coffee intake during first trimester
I love coffee. Before I was pregnant I would drink about 4-5 cups a day. Sometimes more. Since I found out (about two and a half weeks ago) I’ve cut it down to the recommended 1-2 cups per day.
But last night I only got about 4 hours of sleep and today I’m exhausted and just really missing caffeine. I don’t drink soda or eat chocolate so coffee is my only source of caffeine. Is it okay to occasionally have a few extra cups of coffee as long as it’s not consistent?
Just asking for some opinions/experiences with drinking coffee in the first few months. I want to be safe but I miss it so much! ☕️
