Doppler?

I’m 14 weeks and my clinic is doing zoom appointments with no ultrasounds or heartbeat monitors. I’m wondering if it might be worth it to buy a doppler for home use? If you have one, what brand do you recommend?

Nope. Not worth it. You’ll just freak yourself out and end up in the ER which is the worst thing you could do in the current situation.

Idk why people hate so much on using a Doppler. I have a Doppler and love it. I just got a cheap one off of eBay and it has worked great for both pregnancies. Yes it can cause anxiety if you can’t find the heartbeat I get that. If you are far enough along you should be able to find it easily. I watched YouTube videos to help me find where to look. I found my first at 9 weeks and my second at 10 weeks. If you think it will help you stress less I say go for it.

I would look for a different clinic instead of buying a Doppler. Prenatal appointments are essential. While doing some appointments virtually is fine, you should still be having the more important appointments, such as anatomy ultrasound, etc to ensure a healthy pregnancy.

I'm buying one and I'm actually against having them lol but I refuse to go to the emergency room everytime I have a cramp or my symptoms vanish etc..I'll check on baby myself from home!:) I ordered from babydoppler.com they have the fastest shipping!:)

Ughhh I hate hearing of this. Prenatal appointments are essential and conducting them over video call means they can’t carry out necessary routines like hearing the heart beat, checking BP etc. 
There is no point in buying a Doppler it will just cause unnecessary worry, health care professionals train for years they aren’t just listening for a beating heart but also any signs of distress that would go unnoticed to anyone untrained.

Dont get a doppler. Your not trained to use one and they are not recomended for home use. They cause a lot of stress  and worry when you cant find a heartbeat, and you wont know what your actually hearing or if theres something wrong so you may not notice other signs something is wrong because you have a dopper and think you heart the babys heartbeat. A lot of home users hear there own heartbeat and think its the babys
