When to make first appointment?

I know most doctors don't want to see you until your 8 weeks. Just curious though, how far along before you call to make an appointment?

I called a couple days after my positive and they ask the date of your last period and kind of go from there. I got a dating ultrasound done at my first appt I was 7 and a half weeks at the time

I would call right away sometimes it takes forever to get in with a doc here in Texas

I'm going on November 10th and I'll be around 6wks & 5 days. Going in early because my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage , found out at my first ultrasound at 11 weeks , they said baby stopped developing at 6wks . I'd rather know sooner then later this time .
