Will they take my baby if I treat positive for marijuana?

Giving birth may 2nd. I'm figuring they'll probably drug test me???
Will they take my newborn or my 3 year old if I test positive for marijuana when I give birth? Its ONLY marijuana.. nothing else. 
Should I go through Kaiser or Medi-cal? I have both...

My friend gave birth ( we live in ny) && they tested for marijuana and it was positive and they almost didn’t let her leave with her baby

They will test you and baby if they show positive then they will take the children, the newborn and any children you already have.

I have a friend who used cannabis with her children, and where I’m at they test you and baby. If you test positive they send cps to the hospital to talk with you, then they will send cps for random home inspection to make sure baby/children are properly provided for. They will also do random tests on you, but no they do not take your children. It just depends where you’re at 🤷🏻‍♀️

So idk if they automatically test you or not after every birth but if you previously had weed in your system or you go to the hospital smelling like it or if they suspect anything they’ll test you and if you test positive they have to let child protective services know. Therefore they may take your children. I’m sorry but this is pretty selfish to basically choose weed over your children.

In Arizona I’m not sure if they test you, but they do test the babies poop, which anything will stay in the babies poop since it doesn’t come out until baby is born. If marijuana shows up they just send cps to you to make sure your home is safe and baby is being taken care of. My best friend had her kid 5 years ago and that’s all they did, not sure if they’ve become more strict or not since then but I don’t think they have.

It doesn't depend on the insurance it depends on the county and state. Some do some done. Mine does test for it and will send CPS to talk with you if you do

i'm sorry everyone is being so rude. yes they will test both of you. here in SC if you're positive they will either put the child in foster care or have some responsible family member become the guardian. meaning you can only be around your child if they are there. you're not allowed alone time with the newborn. you will have to take drug and parenting classes and be drug tested regularly. if you do all of that without failing your child is basically yours again. however i'm not sure about having previous or other children already being in your care.
