Co-Parenting Question
My ex and I share 50/50 custody of our 7 yr old daughter. Just some back history...We don’t co parent well unfortunately. I can’t ask him questions, or express to him any of my concerns of our daughter. He lies and likes to turn things around to make me out the bad guy. I try not to communicate with him unless necessary to avoid conflict. There’s much more but I would have to write a book to list everything. 😅 So anyways, I am 28 weeks pregnant and high risk, my son that is 5 that I have with my husband is high risk, and my husband has a compromised immune system. So with this virus going on, we have stayed home and limited our outings to a bare minimum of only doing online grocery pick up.
My daughters father, (my ex) and her step mom have been taking our daughter out to the grocery stores and other stores. At first I was like okay, maybe they had to get groceries and they didn’t have anyone to keep her. But my daughter said she went to look for toys, gifts for her dads birthday, and to return things to the store. I picked her up today, and she told me they are going to petsmart to pick out her a pet when she comes back to their house.
We have a stay at home order in our state due to the virus and I am a nervous wreck with him taking her out and exposing her to the virus. I haven’t said anything to him about my concerns, and feel like there’s nothing I can do. I’m also 99% sure if I even confront him about her going to the stores, he will say it’s not true. I just feel like it’s not in her best interest to be out anyways. Everyone is being told they should be wearing masks, (she is not when going to the store) one person should be going to the store only, and kids should be kept home.
I really don’t want to argue with him about it, but I also feel like I should say something but have no clue how to bring it up without trying to sound like I’m telling him what to do because that’s what he will turn it into. Anyone have any advice?? I’m just so paranoid and aggravated that he is bringing her out. I’d even offer to keep her for him while he ran to the store if he had to. But he would never allow it because it would mean I would be spending time with her on “his time”.
