I was wondering if someone could provide some insight on nutrition for me?
I’m getting back into lifting and I walk 6-7 miles/day to makeup for my office job so I’m in the process of leaning out. I’ve gained 20 lbs this past year and would like to get back to being 125 but also tone my body as before I was more of a “skinny fat.” My real question is on nutrition and how much protein I should be eating? Like percentage of my daily values? I know calories matter above all else and I’m aiming for at least 75g protein/day as I eat vegetarian about 4 days/week so I’m not sure if it’s enough or if I need more? Before I ate meat much more often so I was able to eat 110+g of protein without a problem but as I’ve recently changed my diet to by vegetarian at least 3-4x/week, I’m finding it more difficult to reach this protein goal. Once I get back to 125, I’ll reverse diet to build muscle so it’ll be easier to up my protein intake. But for now, is 75g/protein good for weight loss while simultaneously working my muscles?
