How do you guys feel about your first son being a Jr.?

my husband has the same first and last name as his father, and it has caused super annoying problems for us.. account merged at grocery/pet stores, dentist/chiro apptmts mixed up, private mail opened by accident, etc.. before we were married, my husband told me that he wanted his son to be "the third," and I'm so glad he changed his mind. I also couldn't shake  the idea of potentially calling my husband by my son's name during sex and being weirded out, but even I can recognize that that's a bit immature. it's a nice sentiment, but not for us! :)

My SO doesn't even know what his mother was thinking when naming him. He hates his first name and hardly ever uses it. So no, we will not ever have a junior.

If I can convince my husband to give a son his first name (also my dad's name), he would have a different middle, and wouldn't be a jr.

I love my husbands name and it will definitely be used as our first sons middle name, maybe even first name. I'd never refer to him as 'junior' though

My son is a Jr. It was the right thing to do in our eyes...and now that our son is going on 7 he loves being his dad's Jr because he says the good dad's get a son, but only the best get a Jr.

It's soo cute the bond they have!

I wouldn't mind but my husband said he doesn't want a Jr. My postmaster mom says it makes mail sorting and delivery a nightmare, lol.
