How much $$ do you have left at the end of the month XTRA?

The title says it all 😂
Genuinely curious how much money do you have left at the end of the month EXTRA? After gas , groceries , all bills etc ?

About $2,700ish not counting gas and groceries. We don’t budget for those because it changes every week. Sometimes I do a bulk trip for the month, or I do weekly shopping. Gas is always different because my husband works from home a lot and we switch taking each other’s cars. We save about $1,800 of that a month though.

My husband gets paid biweekly. So after bills, groceries and savings for that 2 week period, we usually have about 500-700 left depending. We don’t spend that extra just to spend it tho. We get what we want/need within reason and then the leftover of that also goes back into the savings account.

We have our bills set up to where our first check of the month pays our rent, internet, utilities and groceries. Our second check is completely bill free so we usually have about 2500 with that free check and most of it goes into savings.

My husband and I try to save $2k monthly between the 2 of us. But sometimes it ends up being a little less because my husband gets quarterly bonuses (so it’s more during the months he gets the bonus but less when he doesn’t)

a good amount, granted i don’t pay rent and my school is a full-ride so it significantly cuts down costs for me.
