Sex in first trimester??

I had sex and very gentle sex haha because I had two previous miscarriages. After sex I spotted and freaked so I called the doctor. I was told it happens it’s more sensitive and veiny in the cervix. However, she recommended I just wait until the first ultrasound to do anything else, which I am SO fine with haha

It is a ok. Just note you might get spotting because your cervix is so sensitive, but baby is protected in the uterus away from the penis.

I am the same - way too scared to have sex if I’ve had spotting .i had spotting for my pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. I have an appt next week I’ll ask then. Don’t want to take any chances.

I had a miscarriage in November and found out I was pregnant again in February. My OB told me to refrain from sex in the first trimester as the chance of another miscarriage is 20% but goes down to 1% once in the second trimester.

It is fine unless you are told not to. But to ease your mind. Let the doctor check the cervix and placement of placenta. If these are fine, you are fine. And it eases your mind.

I am the same as you. I had a miscarriage last September & got pregnant in February. I didn’t know I was pregnant & still had sex. But couple weeks ago we had sex & there was blood. I freaked out. But it wasn’t enough to fill a pad & it was gone afterwards like after sex. The next day no blood. Last week at 8 week ultrasound I asked dr about it & she said it’s okay to have sex & it won’t increase my chances of a second miscarriage. But I’m still a little worried so we have it less. We did do it two times after that incident after my dr visit but it was slow & there wasn’t any blood. Don’t know if this is TMI but the blood only happened when my husband was on top. When I’m on top there is no blood. So now we don’t do missionary anymore 🤣
