Long story short, I’m recovering from COVID. I had the usual hallmarks of the virus and I’ve been isolating and riding it out at home.

I had body aches like I have never had before.

My er pregnancy test was negative but I couldn’t shake the fact that my boobs were on 🔥.

Nevertheless, I’m like progesterone makes boobs hurt before periods so that’s what it has to be.

Took all my meds and took them on time. I never take meds as directed but COVID is no fuckn joke and I’ve watched patients come in my job and not come out.

All my <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">period apps</a> start dinging that I missed the first day of my period and I’m like...nothing new. I have PCOS so irregularity is my normal.

I’m like ok, I’ll take the strip tests. THEY ARE ALWAYS NEGATIVE.

3mm and nothing so I go to my camera to make sure...invert it and I’m like wtf is that? Sure enough...a vfl.

So I grab another bcz it was colorless😑...dip...3mm. Another vfl..now I’m like 🤔🤨.

I get my last FRER, I’m like these have been faulty but here we go...dip...3mm...pink vfl.

I’m like “there’s no fuckn way...”

So I grab an lh strip and a digital...dip and dip...3mm for lh blazing positive...

At this point I called my dr and I ask “what are the chances of 3 dye tests being false positives?” She throws out a number so then the stupid little clock on the digital keeps flashing and I’m like great it’s faulty.

I’m thinking this digital is going to be like “haha NEGATIVE BITCH” because it is taking soo long for a result.

Then it stops flashing and reads PREGNANT.

So I ask again...”what are the chances of a digital test being a false positive” and my dr says “ 1 in 50000000000”

She’s like “ are you telling me that you’re pregnant?” I’m like “that’s what these tests say” she says “NO FUCKN WAY! You were literally dying last week, had me worried sick, now you’re pregnant!!!”

I haven’t told anyone...I’m still in shock.
