Can alcohol make a test false negative? I released that my period is now 8 days late, my boobs are extremely sore, I have slight cramps and I’m always tired! As these are usually the symptoms of my period, I didn’t consider possibly being pregnant until today. I calculated that the last time my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex was 3 weeks ago when I was ovulating.

I bought a test and took it today and it was negative. I had a few glasses of wine last night and as I was taking the test, straight away I noticed that my wee was extremely diluted, practically clear. Can this cause a false negative?
