In my first pregnancy my appointments were every 4 weeks from about the 8 week mark until 34 weeks. Then I had one at 34 weeks and one at 36 weeks. From 36 weeks until delivery they were weekly. I have a new doctor this time and could have sworn at the beginning the appointment schedule was identical. But at my 28 week appointment he said “see you in two weeks.” I said “you mean four right?” And he said no every two weeks starting now until you are 34 weeks and then they are weekly. He also wants to do an ultrasound at 36 weeks. I’m totally fine going that often, but have never heard of ob appointments being this frequent. I can’t bring anyone to my appointments anymore so I have to have my husband take time off to watch my son for an hour. Do any of you have this same schedule? Just curious.
