Birth Control Appointment?

So I have been considering getting on the pill, but I don't know what to expect to happen when I go in for an appointment?

I live in Australia and I've been on 4 seperate occasions. basically they just ask what it's for-  sexually active, to have more regular periods etc etc then they talk you through how to take it and when the best time would be for you. they also talk about other kinds of contraception for more long term help and some may ask how long you've been sexually active, then they take your blood pressure, give you a prescription and tell you you're good to go 😂

I had my first appointment 2 days ago, they asked if I was currently sexually active and I said no but I mentioned that I've had sex before, so all they did was swab me with a q-tip to test for any stds.

They also may do a pelvic exam, especially if you're sexually active and haven't gotten one before
