I’m trying to decide whether to get the basic genetic test (only looks for Down Syndrome) or the next level which screens for a lot of other genetic abnormalities.

What have other people decided?

It’s roughly $500 (which could go towards a lot of things!), and I don’t have any family history to be concerned about.

On the other hand, first pregnancy, naturally very anxious. I’ve worked with disabled children in the past and have strong feelings about not keeping a child alive if they don’t have quality of life.
