When to introduce eggs

Hey mommas! How are all those october babies? Have you started with solids? Have Any of you already introduced your baby to egg? I read that introducing egg to baby at 6 months lowers the chances of egg allergy. Has you doctor mentioned this?

We’ve introduced egg a couple days ago and he loves it. Science backs up early introduction reduces risk of allergies, if you want to do some research on it. Our doctor said my baby can eat whatever we eat, to introduce the major allergenic foods early except honey.

May be a dumb question, but my LO doesn’t have teeth yet, should I wait on introducing eggs?

Yup we started our son at 6 months on egg yolk only for breakfast with half a pureed banana mixed with oatmeal cereal and his bottle of formula.

We did purées, puffs and now pb and eggs. Earlier the better.

We have scrambled eggs almost every morning! My LO loves them

We just had our 6 month appointment this morning and gave her first solids (banana) this afternoon. Our doctor recommended introducing potential allergens (peanut butter, eggs) early on to decrease the chance of allergies, so we plan to do this soon. My husband is allergic to shellfish so he specifically recommended we give our daughter shellfish early on to decrease the chance she will also have that allergy.
