Falling for him

I've know this guy for about a year and a half now, and he's pretty much my closest friend at this point. We do sleep together, but recently everything just feels different. I feel like we've just connected in a way I never have with anyone else, but I'm not sure if he feels the same way. When we're together it feels like we may as well be a couple because we act like it. We'll stay up all night drinking, singing, and dancing around like complete idiots then end the night watching the office and cuddling. He makes me so happy in general when I'm talking to him and with him. I'm just not too sure how to bring any of this up to him. I don't want to make anything awkward, but I also don't want to assume how he feels. It's driving me crazy and I'm just not sure what to do anymore.
