Could stress be the reasons behind my health issues?
I’ve been going through some weird ish with my body lately.
In December, January, and February, I went through a phase where I was suffering from chronic stress and anxiety pretty much every day. I’m a full-time student, so school WAS getting to me, but I also had a pregnancy scare in January that really, really scared me. I’d say the pregnancy scare affected my mental health more than school.
I’ve been having digestive issues for weeks now. It’s super hard for me to have bowel movements and passing gas is painful. When I do have bowel movements, not much comes out and it’s VERY painful. My stomach also is CONSTANTLY growling, even when I’m not hungry. This is SUPER, super unlike me. I’ve also been having heartburn, which isn’t that uncommon for me, but it occurs much more frequently now than it ever has before.
My appetite fluctuates from day to day. I go from eating twice a day to constantly snacking. On days where my appetite is slim to none, I’ve noticed I get full much quicker. It’s weird.
I keep experiencing gas pains on the right side of my body, and they’re really uncomfortable, especially when I’m trying to sleep :/
I’ve taken pregnancy tests but they’ve all came back negative. I didn’t necessarily need to (especially after the pregnancy scare), but my body was acting too weird for me to not take them.
Could it be the stress? I’m not nearly as stressed and anxious as I was before, but I still feel it from time to time. Seeing a doctor isn’t in my cards right now, as I’m stuck in lockdown for quarantine. :(
