We have chickens who finally started laying eggs, I've gardened for years. It did push us to finally get into raising meat rabbits. (Less space, a lot faster, and a lot quieter than pigs.) We already try to live as sustainably and self sufficiently as we can.

I think we save and prepare for times like this but this definitely helped me recognize to kinda have.....
1. backup supply of items. Buy 2-3 and just have a in case stores close. Stock pile of canngoods
2. Push myself to have 1 yr to 1.5 yr savings.
3. Continue not to buy on credit 
4. Eat healthy for overall healthy body
5. Exercise regularly
6. Live balanced mental physical spiritual 
7. Embrace the ones you love ❤️ regularly 
8. Keep priorities straight
9.  Pray over life n the day

No. I’ve always lived frugally and saved. My grandparents were majorly impacted by the Great Depression, so they always saved every penny they could and passed that down to my mom and me.
