Weight gain from birth control?

Is this a thing? If so, how much???? I really do not want to gain any weight.

The pill itself doesn't make you gain weight. People gain weight because the pill does make your hormones go all over the place and it causes you to eat more and if you don't do any exercise then that's when you gain weight!

I'm on the pill and weight gain is a side effect, but only because it increaes your appitite, so as long as you don't eat excessively you should be fine

The only birth control that has been shown to cause weight gain is the shot. All others can increase your appetite which is up to you to control. 
I had nexplanon and gained some weight but I had a poor reaction to it and that doesn't happen to everyone.

I gained quite a bit of weight while on depo provera. I recently stopped taking it and my weight is dropping down again. If you exercise regularly and build a bit of muscle you should be okay. :) avoid sugary liquids and limit yourself to one or two cheat days, but eat as healthy as possible the rest of the week.

Taking the pill can make you gain weight- it really depends on the person. If it's a concern you may be able to talk to your doctor about alternative forms of birth control :)
