My parents split when I was 17, really bad separation. My dad was a gambler and not the nicest with us. Them splitting up was the best thing that ever happened to them and us but it was horrific to go through.

Now though they are great. They had that little spell where they hated each other and things got bad and then right back to them being civil and putting their children first.

Since we can't see anyone with everything going on we all have a big family group chat. It's got me and my brother my mum and step dad, dad and step mum, all our step brothers and sisters and my maternal grandparents and our spouses.

Tonight we are all talking about how much we love each other after my sister posted a photo of the ppe she has to wear for work where 24 of the residents have covid.

It's so hard right now. But my family make everything do much easier. Love even where theres hard times and even when you've been through hell with each other.

I'm so lucky.
