How did you tell your parents and how long did you wait to tell them???

I haven't told my parents yet and I have no idea how to even approach that. In a public setting? Just tell them? Write a letter explaining everything? I'm 7 weeks and I think I have to tell them soon please help!

I was 16 when I fell pregnant, and am now 17 with my beautiful little girl. I found out at 3 weeks that I was pregnant (unplanned & tested cause I felt there was something "wrong" with my body) I told my mom after we went to my first doctors appointment (we wanted to see if I was actually pregnant & make sure there was a heart beat) I sat my mom and my dad down at the table (awkward cause they're divorced) and I simply told them that they were going to be grandparents. I cried doing so for I was disappointed with myself. They had several mixed emotions which i understood why being im young. They told me they would support my decisions. & then we talked out what my plans were for the future and got things situated. The entire time I bawled, but even if they're not understanding at first they will eventually come around. You have to mature and get things situated. Babies are a blessing at any age don't take advantage of gods gift & good luck

I told my mom while she was at the bar drinking . She took it much better then if I was just to tell her without a drink in her .

I'm 17 and when I found out I was with my boyfriend. I had decided to wait a week, but once I got home I felt so guilty for keeping it to myself so I went into my Dads room and told him while I was crying. He was furious, and said many not nice things, and told him it was my decision and wen to my room and cried on FaceTime with my boyfriend. I decided to move in with my BF, which was a better choice, but I've always kept in touch with my dad. Now I'm 33 weeks, and my dad is actually the most supportive/comforting person in my family about the situation! He just wants me to succeed in life. If your parents are angry, they just need time. They will come around eventually.
