how to teach a baby to crawl?

i’m a FTM and my baby is almost 7 months and i’m not sure how to teach him to crawl! advice please!

Put them on their tummy. 
Put their favorite toy in arms reach. Where they can reach it. Then move the toy about a half inch. 
Encourage them to reach it. Then once reached move it a half inch out further again. Encouraging to reach again. Then repeat further and further out. 
If they can’t reach it or barely can then put your arm behind their toes. And kind of nudge them up a little from their toes. They will s pot up from your arm. Which that’s part of them figuring out they can scoot like a worm and get there. 
If using your arm to push off of is what gets them to their favorite toy then use that method for a few days. Eventually they will figure out more movements added with that will makevthem crawl.

I think my boy is going to walk before he crawls. Lol. We are being patient for each of his milestones. Honestly I don’t think there’s a rush as long as your child is developing normally.

I mean you can encourage it by putting him on his tummy and having toys just out of reach, but he will crawl when he is ready to 🤷🏻‍♀️ my boy didn’t crawl until he was about a year old.

My 6 month old has been crawling for a month.  She is my first baby to crawl.  The other 3 went straight to walking at 7 months.  We just go lots of time on the floor with toys out of reach. And stay out of any baby related baby holder/bouncer as much as possible.

I watched YouTube videos. Lol my daughter will be 7 months next week and she has no interest. She just rolls and rolls but she stand and play with stuff! Lol I feel like she might skip crawling.

Put something they like in front of them but at a distance they can’t reach. Or just start crawling lol. I’ve read that sometimes babies don’t crawl and they skip straight to walking and they usually walk sooner than those who crawled. Not sure how true it is haha. I saw it a long time ago.

I used to sit with my legs stretched out and out his arms over one side with a toy out front and his legs on the other side so he had to climb over my legs to get the toy. That started to build arm muscles a bit . Also tummy time . Try to get them on their hands and knees as much as possible by scooting their knees into a crawling position for them and enticing them with toys. My son just turned 8 months and started crawling and taking steps last month  and now he is walking around my house. Things can escalate very quickly so I’m sure your little one will get a hang of it one day and be all over the house the next ! Goodluck mama !
