How do you deal with the awkwardness after an argument?

We had an argument & while we got through it, there is still a bit of awkward tension left over. (& don't say sex, I'm on my period & just not in the mood, ha)

Its completely normal to argue and for there to be awkwardness after the fact... one or both people can feel like they're always on glass around each other and dont want to trigger another arguement. You guys will keep pushing forward and work through it! Just give it a little bit of time!

I just can’t stand arguing or being mad. My parents used to tell me not to go to bed mad and work it out. So I don’t have much pride when it comes down to our marriage, and neither does my husband. We both apologize and move on

My husband and I talked about this and decided that we'd turn the TV on to give us something to focus on and give us time to process the fight and help things get back to normal. It works for us, this way we aren't sitting there afterwards all quite and awkward/uncomfortably like 'soooo what do we do now?..'

Is it awkward maybe because there's still some hurt feelings or confusion? Maybe get some space or talk about it more. But I always hug and kiss my husband and cuddle and all is better.
