How early is early? Pregnancy test!

After waiting all day yesterday for any sign of AF and nothing, I stopped on my way to work and got a pregnancy test. Took it shortly after and of course it came back negative. I’m still clean when it comes to AF, although I have been cramping for well over a week now.

Last year I tested after one missed period and it quickly showed I was pregnant. We now have a healthy daughter and trying for number two but... this time nothing. Is it possible I simply tested too early? I heard I should have tested with fmu but I didn’t (though the package said it didn’t matter). It was a digital First Response.

I want so badly to have another baby. But I don’t want to to cling to hope when there is no. Is there a chance or should I just try again next month?
