Tested before birth?

Anyone else’s hospital having mothers tested for covid before giving birth? I have so much anxiety knowing this, the implications of contact with my baby if I do, knowing so many ppl have it without symptoms & with my husband still going to work everyday 😢

No, they will ask the standard questions...but my hospital doesnt have enough tests to test even actively looking sick people. I doubt they even have the rapid tests. 
You have to get in touch with your hospital and see if they are doing that. I doubt the majority are doing actual tests outside of the major hot zones

My hospital is. I know it would be absolutely terrible to have tour baby taken away but the alternative would be giving them the virus...

My hospital is having people with scheduled c sections and inductions tested two days before and people who come in in labor are getting the rapid test. But it could change by June. Ask your provider at your next appointment.

I’m not quite sure. They said a support person can be there as long as they are negative, but Idn if that means tests negative or they are doing a questionnaire screening that turns out negative.  We are both still working and I’m the one in a healthcare facility, so Idn if that will affect their decision?
