How long did your induction take??

I’ll be 39 weeks and 2 days tomorrow, and being induced. I go in at 5 pm to start medicine to soften my cervix and then Wednesday they are going to start the actual induction process. This is my first baby and I’m only 1 cm dilated 😩 I’m hoping it doesn’t take days but I know it very well can. I’m super nervous and excited at the same time. I’m not sure how to feel lol. I’m just ready to meet my baby girl!!

I was given two doses to soften my cervix. I ended up going into labor on my own and not needing pitocin. My water broke shortly after, then I gave birth two hours later. I’m also a ftm, and was 38 weeks and 1 cm dilated before starting the process. You never know how things will turn out 🤷🏽‍♀️

My labour was 6.5 hours from starting the induction medication to the actual delivery. But my waters had already broken/had been leaking for several hours without any real progression, so not sure how dilated/effaced I already was before being induced

I was induced at 39 weeks. Expected the process to take >24 hours since I’m a first time mom and was only at 1cm the day before I went in. My water broke 1.5 hours after they put in the cervix softener and I went into labor on my own, no Pitocin. I had him in <12 hours from start of process to his birth. Definitely not what I was expecting.

I was induced with my first at 38 weeks, went in at 1cm, started pitocin that night but didnt actually go into labor until 2 days later! That was such an awful experience with my first. With my second I was induced at 39 weeks, started the pitocin at 6pm & had him the next morning! With my 3rd most recent pregnancy, I was induced at 39 weeks, started pitocin at 730am & had her at 4:43pm that evening!

25 hours from the time they inserted cervadil. contractions started immediately. they put me on pitocin 10 hours after the cervadil was inserted. i pushed for an hour and a half.

Twenty one and a half hours of waiting to be a 10! After they started the induction things were going slow but smoothly. They did the inflation ball when I was at a 3 an had been stuck for about three hours. They removed the ball and I was a fake 5. It took two hours to catch up with contractions. They upped my dose it seemed to be moving things along smoothly. Then Kaydens heart started to dip with my contractions but it was a flutter dip so good but not good at the same time. They stopped my iv an tried pumping more water into my veins. After a couple attempts to get back on track they decided to put fluids back in. I was a 6 half cm an they told me they have to stop pushing the medication that pushed me right along that I was going to progress by myself. The peanut ball had me dilating one cm every two hours roughly. They came in to check me after countless hours of watching Kaydens heart beat come back up and stayed. I was extremely emotional I was ready to hold my little girl. My nurse checks me I progressed to 8cm. Debating on if it’s 8 cm an a half she goes to contact my ob so they could start prepping when I was ready. Thirty minutes after the excitement of being close I started to feel this uncomfortable pressure like I had to poop! I was trimming my contractions with the pressure sure enough I was a 10 and she was crowning before doc could get scrubbed down. Roughly 5-7 pushes an there she was on my belly. Three months prior I had a ultrasound an they told me she was not growing like she should have. But it was not a big concerning difference. As she was on my belly I kept looking at my mom tears trying to run down my face. I was so happy but so scared she wasn’t going to be heavy enough to get to go home with me. It seemed like they dragged there bootys goofing around before they weighed her. 12:03 am she was on my belly 2:15 they weighed her an she was 6lb 5oz. She was perfectly healthy and not so happy. She is one month and two days now and I still can’t grasp that I played a part in making my gorgeous daughter.

My first- induced at 41+1 on a Friday night and gave birth Sunday AM. Second- induced 39+1 at 9:30 on a Tuesday and she was born Wednesday at 5:45! It was like super speed haha. Both times I started with a cervix softener and went into labor without pitocin.

I was exactly 37 weeks when I got induced and it took two days. Went in Friday night and had her Sunday night.
