Zoom Wedding?

Question

I just saw an article headline saying some pastor is performing marriages over Zoom. 
So, I’m kind of curious what people think about this.  Is it something you would do? Would you just postpone?  I honestly have no idea how they work out all the details like legal paperwork, witnesses, or whether they have friends and family attend virtually.   
Has anyone ever attended an online wedding?

I believe they have to sign the marriage certificate for it to be a legal ceremony. So i dont know how that would work.

My friend in Alabama is supposedly getting married and she said they will not be following any distancing rules because “it’s not a threat there” 🙄

Honesty, I kinda like the idea of a online wedding. Hear me out, it's the perfect excuse to have a small and simple destination wedding that requires minimal preparation and stress. No one complaining about locatiom because they'd see it online, no cooking massive amounts of food, no making invites, no family drama... Just you and your significant other. All in the name of safety.

We watched friends of ours at their destination wedding about 7 years ago. They only invited immediate family and live streamed it so friends could still be a part of it. I thought it was a neat idea then so why not now.

I like that they're doing this, and while I haven't attended one I have a friend that did. She and her husband dressed up and participated from their living room which I thought was really cute. You can always have a big party later, I'd like the security of knowing we have legal rights to help and make decisions for each other in this time. Also, in my state you don't get witnesses.

I’d wait. Having an actual wedding was important to me. I know marriage are weddings aren’t something that’s important to everyone, but to me it was/is.

I would postpone...and I have a friend who has postponed her wedding until next year. 
But if all you want to do is get legally married, I don't see the big deal with having a zoom wedding.

Is this an actual legal wedding where they sign papers on screen then mail them in or something, or is it just the ceremony?
If it’s the former, I’d totally do that even without the pandemic. I don’t want a formal wedding anyway, and not having to physically go into city hall would be the bees knees. 
If it’s just the ceremony, and the legal part has to wait until this is over, eh.
