How long should a break in relationship be?

My bf asked for space. Its been a month that we havent talked. 
Have you guys been through a break in relationship? how long a break would be acceptable? Do you guys still communicate in someway during break like this?

Hun a break is a breakup. There are no real breaks in a serious relationship. If my boyfriend needs a break he can go in the room until he’s ready to talk.

I can guarantee you he’s not off in the mountains at some yoga retreat, he’s moved on to other women. Sorry. A man’s effort and consistency are very important in a relationship. If he’s not making that effort towards you, then who or what else is getting that effort. If he comes back you are just a back up plan when he’s not bored or screwing someone else. Forget him. A break is his guilt free sex without consequences. A break is a break up, I can do as i please. Forget him and move on. He’s ghosting you. If he wanted to be with you he never would have let a month go by without contacting you sweetie. He’s playing you. Walk away. Block and delete him on everything. You deserve better.

I think he was trying to gently just break it off with you or told you it was a break so he can go do what he wants an if he can’t find nothing better you’ll still be there when he feels like coming back. Tbh I’m sorry girl but maybe you should just stop dwelling on it an move on too.
