When do you announce your pregnancy to friends and family?

How do you plan on doing it? I suck at keeping secrets but I have to wait till I’m 12 weeks anyway. I sadly tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month before I even found out I was pregnant. We are going to wait a month since getting my positive results so we know for sure I’m not a carrier anymore. God forbid I get anyone else sick; I’d be so upset with myself.

We told our immediate family, and close friends straight away (we had been trying for almost five years)
Didn't announce it to everyone else until almost 12 weeks x

I tell my mom dad and sisters right away. With my first two pregnancies I announced to everyone else when I found out the genders. With this 3rd pregnancy I didnt make an announcement but im not hiding it either.

We announced at 9 weeks to our parents and close friends (we wanted to wait until we knew everything was okay) Then at 13 weeks we announced to the rest of the family after my 2nd appointment went great (siblings, aunts, uncles,etc). We were going to wait until 16 weeks to post on social media but I teach and I wanted to tell my students in case we were out because of the virus. I told them the Friday we got out for spring break and I was 14 weeks.

Oh I hope you’re feeling better! We aren’t sure if our lockdown restrictions will be lifted by the time my 12 week scan comes around (I’m in the U.K.) and we’ve got a few ideas to tell my people. We’re either gonna do it remotely on like a zoom family quiz or something, or walk to their house and get them to open the window and we’ll tell them from a safe 2m distance 😂
