Do you have to test at the same time everyday?

I wake up at different times each day so wondering if you definitely have to test at the same time each day and still notice patterns with ovulation?? 
I’ve seen comments saying to set an alarm for the earliest time you will wake up and then continue at that time everyday but my partner works 7 days a week and I don’t want to wake him up earlier than his alarm just so I can test my temperature, it’s not fair.

You’re supposed to test around the same time everyday. The same time for the whole cycle. My SO gets up around 0430 every morning and I make him breakfast so my alarm is set for 0425, even on days that he’s off, I’ll wake up to temp and then go back to sleep.

Yes you have to test at the same time everyday so you need to get up at the same time everyday and you need solid sleep before and a proper bbt thermometer. If you dont follow these it’s not accurate and is pointless x

If its ovulation dont use fmu (only use fmu with pregnancy test) also do it later in the day like test around 2pm everyday same time

Not necessarily once you know what you hover around before and after ovulation. But I guess it depends on the person. 
I’ve been temping for over two years now as a preventative measure and I know that before I ovulate, my temp always sits below 97.3 usually in the range of 96.8-97.2 depending on the time I wake up and after ovulation it’s always above 97.3 and usually in the range of 97.4-97.8 depending on the time I wake up. 
Also keep in mind that temping is very difficult to do if there are other factors in play, such as medications, recreational drug use, and alcohol consumption. These are all things that can mess with your waking temperatures. For example after a night of drinking, even just one glass can affect my temperature by a full degree the next morning.
