Are any of you even planning a birthday party?

We had the park booked because it books up really fast but I think we should just cancel at this point.  The parks aren’t even planning to reopen for a month yet and I can’t imagine a big party will be a great idea yet come August.  
SO’s family kind of lost their mind when we suggested we might not have it though.  One even said she’d be taking our son for the day and throwing a party herself then because he “needs” one (that would never happen but just to give an idea of how upset they were).  
I really REALLY wanted a big party for him but my daughters sweet 16 in June got canceled already so a first birthday party doesn’t seem like nearly as big of a deal 😩🤷‍♀️

I think it’s a little early to be making that decision. No one has any idea what’s going to be happening next week, let alone in 4 months. But it’s ultimately whatever you’re comfortable with. I’m still planning one as of right now.

Lol if my family got mad at me for that I’d literally laugh in their face 😂 We aren’t planning anything in advance. If come August, things are better and the world is more healthy then we will. If not, it’s no big deal. They’ll be one, they won’t remember 🤷🏻‍♀️

We live in Orlando and were planning for the in-laws to fly out, have a party of maybe 30 people, and go to Sea World! At this point, I’m just hoping the in-laws can safely travel here. Not sure about a party anymore... maybe we’ll go to my parents and have a family pool party instead. Even if the theme parks open, we’ll have to wait and see how safe we feel going there in August

My daughter turns 4 in May and was really looking forward to a unicorn donut party. We decided to have a joint party in August for her and our son (if it’s safe to do so)  It will be  going a Unicorn and Dinosaur party. 
   She’ll get a unicorn donut cake (there is a donut shop that makes custom cakes) and he’ll get a dinosaur cake or cupcakes. I found some many cute ideas on Pinterest

We're still planning a party...but we don't even know what state we'll be in(we move once a year for hubby's job) so who knows if we'll have a party in the end. The planning is helping me get through being trapped at home for months on end.

We were doing the same thing we have a park grove area booked for the end of August but I'm not sure if we will still be able to have it ..luckily my husband works for the county parks and rec so we can cancel if we need to but I'll be sad if we cant have a party at all ..I'd be happy even if we could just have a small one at the house at this point!

We booked a park community building just in case and I’m still planning and buying things if we’re not able to do it, I’m gonna decorate our house with everything I buy if we get the park cancelled . It’s my first daughters birthday and even if it’s just me, her and my husband she’s having a huge party with a lot of pictures and a lot of gifts no virus is gonna ruin that for her! Lol
