Has anyone else tried TTC after recovering from an eating disorder?

Was it hard to conceive? How long did it take for you? 
I’ve struggled with bulimia/anorexia for about 7 years now, I’ve been in recovery for about 2 months now and starting to eat regularly again thank god!!! Me and my partner are TTC and I’m wanting to know other people’s story’s :)

Congratulations on your progress. I’ve struggled with disordered eating for most of my life. I am currently 25 weeks and have had a total shift in my mindset. It’s been hard. It’s been triggering. It’s also been amazingly beautiful. 
With this being so new to you, I would consider taking time to heal emotionally and physically before taking the plunge and TTC. Consider that your body and mind are going to continue to change, which you may need time to process during this renewed time in your journey. 
If you’re committed to TTC, you may want to begin with testing to make sure that your hormone levels are regular. Your OBGYN can order bloodwork to test for an array of things, but I would be very candid with doctors and specialists about where you are in your progress so that they can adequately support you. For example, my thyroid was a hot mess for a long time, but I didn’t know it. It’s possible that with ED your body needs some time to recover. 
Again, best of luck to you in this new stage of your life. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and support. Lean on those you trust and love. They want you to be successful.
