Depressed

Is any other moms out their losing their hair? I literally have been so sad lately because my hair has been falling out ridiculously. I cry in the shower because I see chunks falling. Yesterday my husband and I were cuddle up on the couch while babygirl was playing and my husband was rubbing my head and a lot of hair just fell out. I have to vacuum my house every other day because if not my baby somehow winds up with my hair on her. I’m not stressed out or anything but I’m just so sad because I never thought my hair loss would be this bad 😭

It's awkward and kind of scary, I know, but it is normal. It helps if you think of it as hair you would have lost anyway. You don't shed as much while pregnant, so you're kind of... catching up. It does grow back, it is just annoying while it does because you get all the whisps. I'm over here with 4 inch whispies from my daughter and now round two. Layers will definitely be my friend for a while. 😆

Going through the same thing!! I literally wanted to cry the first time I washed my hair and it was sooo knotted and falling out in chunks! I have curly hair so I decided this week to blow dry it to see if it helped not get so knotted. I also started taking collagen and continue my prenatals. Going to deep condition my hair as well. From what everyone said, it's pretty normal and it will grow back.

It is totally normal to lose hair postpartum. My mom friends did say it tends to start 3-4m pp. it’s also slow to grow back 😩. It’s all hormonal. I’ve definitely noticed an increase in the shower these last few days, and can see it all over pillows I use. I know things can be stressful and our bodies are forever changed, but it’s all for that beautiful baby you have, and this too shall pass. Keep strong mamma!
