My bf and I have been dating for a while now. We have different religions and cultures. I didn't know anything about his religion(Sikh)and how it worked honestly. Couple of months after we got together he told me about how his parents set arrange marriages for him and his brother. Throughout our relationship I don't exist to his family or anything apparently they're not allowed to date. Recently couple of weeks ago he told me to marry him & of course I said yes. But agin I felt like everything went downhill couple of days ago. Why? Because we talked things through and he said we can't be together even though he wants to we can't, that I won't never be accepted because I'm not Indian and that it would be a shame possibly. He said we should break up well it's up to me before it's late. That his family and religion come first. It hurts knowing it's the truth ;I'm so confused ; I love him very much but yet I feel like I should let him go before it's too late but then again I don't want to.
