Baby thermometer?

Hi ladies, FTM here and just wondering what thermometer you’ve got for your baby/ other babies that you’ve had. What one you would recommend etc. I find all the different types of everything and the different brands totally overwhelming all the time. So would like to hear your opinions and recommendations.

Its not recommended to use the ear or forehead one until baby is at least 6 months. I'd go with the mouth or armpit one for now but the most accurate one is the rectal thermometer. They have ones that get the temp in 8 seconds so as awful as it sounds its quick and effective.

Recital is needed for infants (at least, that’s what my pediatrician asks for). Definitely get a rectal thermometer and lube. It’s really not that hard or gross to do ❤️

I have an ear and a regular one. I hate the ear one it never works. I have a regular safety 1st one and it works great. You can use it oral, armpit or rectal. I always just do armpit thou. My advice is to make sure to get a fast reading one bc babies hate it and will squirm.

I have 3 thermometers. One for the armpit, which is what I use until they're six months. I also have a rectal one, which I only use when they're sick (under six months) and I need to keep a better eye on their temperatures. And an ear thermometer, which I use after they're six months old.

I have the Brain No Touch Thermometer. I love it.  So easy. My dr actually has the same one in her office.

Do not get a forhead one. Those are not accurate and recomended for infants, just get a regular one that goes in the mouth or armpit.
