Confused...

I thought I was 6.5 weeks, but my doctor said I am 8 weeks! What?! This is all from blood tests btw, not an actual ultrasound, which I don't have until later this month. Is this even possible or could my blood contain more hormones which makes my doctor THINK it is 8 weeks? I'm so confused.
