Nursery Safety?

There are so many useful things I see in your photos and WANT to put in the nursery, but of course always assume the worst. I want to be able to leave my kid in there for a few minutes when he is a toddler and not worry about him or broken items. Also hoping to add another baby soon afterwards and they will share a room, so the baby stuff is there to stay. 
1. If I have a rocking chair, will his fingers or toes get squished underneath?
2.  If I have a standing lamp or table lamp, will he pull it down?
3. If I have a nice ceiling light fixture, will he throw toys at it?
4. If I hang floor length curtains, will he hang on them or try to pull them down?
5. If I have open diaper table shelving, will he play with all the ointments and diapers?
6. People who have plants... are you worried your kid will eat the dirt etc.?
I just feel like a lot of the nurseries pics I see are for brand new babies and not built to last for toddlers. FTM... thanks for any answers!

Yes to pretty much all of those, but you can’t protect them from things like squished fingers. Babies pull everything.  They throw everything. They’re unstable. They’re rude. 😂

Yes they will pull the curtains buy short ones . Probably will mess with a lamp too my lil line messes with my floor fan all the time so put a lamp on top of the dresser . No they won’t throw toys at the ceiling and break a light fixture . Yes they will pull things off shelf’s so you keep things like ointments and medicine out of reach !! It’s really just common sense stuff  . Just assume they will want to touch everything they can reach until they are taught they can’t

1. I have a glider, the way it’s designed it would be very difficult for a child to get their fingers in there. 
2. My daughter doesn’t mess with the floor lamp in her room.
3. My daughter has never thrown toys at the ceiling in any room in my house.
4. My daughter doesn’t mess with her curtains.
5. Yes, my daughter will rip anything off of any open shelf and is learning to open dresser drawers and pull everything out of them too 😩
6. I don’t have plants in my nursery.
My daughter is about to turn 1, she is very mobile and into everything, but so far the curtains and lamp are not of interest to her.

I have a rocking recliner chair instead of a traditional rocking chair.
